Why Antenatal courses are important?

We lost our "village" and all the knowledge and support that comes with it. Apart from dramatized movie scenes and birth horror stories we hear all around us, we don't know how labour looks, we have no idea what to expect and what our options might be. Antenatal midwife appointments don't offer much time or space for learning things either... And leaving it up to chance might not be the best strategy when it comes to one of the most important events of your life.
